This Privacy Policy describes how BYC Studio ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use the NeopolisGO mobile application (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
By using NeopolisGO, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Location data — Precise GPS coordinates (latitude/longitude) collected only when the App is in the foreground. Optional background location tracking can be enabled by the user.
- Account data — Username, optional email address, and pseudonymous identifiers from third-party authentication providers (see section 5).
- Device data — Device model, operating system version, IP address, app installation identifier.
- Purchase data — In-app purchase history (handled by Apple App Store and Google Play billing — payment details never reach our servers).
- Gameplay data — In-game activity, progression, interactions with other players, and any messages you send through in-app chat.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Operate the App and manage your account
- Authenticate you and process in-app purchases
- Improve game balance and detect cheating or abuse
- Send you service-related notifications (account updates, important announcements)
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for commercial purposes, or sale to third parties.
4. Analytics and Crash Reports
NeopolisGO uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to measure application usage and automatically collect error and crash reports. These tools may record technical identifiers (installation ID, pseudonymous advertising ID, OS version, device model) and anonymized usage events (session duration, screens visited, in-game actions).
NeopolisGO does not use advertising trackers, third-party ad networks, or commercial profiling. You can disable analytics sharing in your device settings ("Analytics sharing" on iOS, "Ads" on Android).
5. Authentication
Depending on your device, authentication may use:
- Apple Game Center (iOS) — you remain identified through your Apple ID via Game Center; no password ever transits through our servers.
- Google Play Games Services (Android) — authentication relies on your Google account with the same guarantees.
- Anonymous mode — a technical identifier is generated and tied to your device, with no email or name collected.
When using Game Center or Play Games, only a pseudonymous technical identifier is transmitted to us (your real email address or full name are never disclosed to us by these services).
6. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party providers, each governed by their own privacy policy:
- Firebase / Google Cloud Platform — backend infrastructure, authentication, database, analytics, push notifications
- Mapbox — map rendering and geolocation services
- Apple App Store — iOS distribution and in-app payments
- Google Play Store — Android distribution and in-app payments
7. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and stored outside the European Union, in particular on Google Cloud Platform and Firebase servers (United States and other regions). These transfers are governed by the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, ensuring a level of data protection equivalent to that required by the GDPR.
8. Data Retention
- Active accounts: data is kept for the duration of your activity.
- Inactive accounts: anonymization or deletion after 24 months of inactivity.
- Account deletion: server-side data is erased within 30 days of your deletion request.
- Tax and accounting records: kept for 10 years as required by French law.
9. Your Rights (GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request rectification of inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict the processing of your data
- Withdraw consent for location tracking at any time

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL — www.cnil.fr) or your local supervisory authority.
10. Children's Privacy
NeopolisGO is intended for users aged 13 or older (16 in certain European countries, in accordance with local requirements). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below this age without verifiable parental consent.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with data without your authorization, please contact us at contact@byc-studio.com — we will delete the data within 30 days.
11. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. However, no electronic transmission or storage system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was most recently revised.
